Mary Alice (Hudson) Conduff
March 23, 1925 ~ January 15, 2014 (age 88)

Mary Alice (Hudson) Conduff died of cancer on January 15, 2014 at the age of 88. At the time of her death, Mary Alice was living with her eldest son, Joe, and his family in Sperry, OK. Mary Alice was born near Seneca, MO on March 23, 1925. She married Frank Conduff in 1941, with whom she had four children. In 1973, Mary Alice moved to Aztec, NM with her daughter Christy, and worked as a funeral director for 25 years. She moved back to Seneca in 2004 where she lived for 5 years. She then returned to New Mexico in 2009 to live near her daughter.

She is survived by her son James (Joe) Franklin Conduff, Jr. of Sperry, OK; her daughter, Christy Conduff of Tijeras, NM; her sister, Delores Asbell of Joplin, MO; 6 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Mary Alice was preceded in death by her beloved sons, Royce Lee and Kevin Ray Conduff; her mother, Julia Ramona Lankford; father, Frank Hudson; and sisters, Pearl Midgett and Virginia Swatsenbarg.

Mary Alice loved her work as a funeral director and made many lifelong friends. She was known for her crocheting and her patchwork blankets, which she loved making and giving to family, friends, and those in need. Mary Alice's favorite flower was the iris, of which she grew hundreds. She was thankful to have so many friends and family who loved her, and will be missed by many.
