Memorial Services for Cathy Sue Combs, 60, of Fairview, will be 1:30 p.m., Friday, July 3, 2020 at the Fairview Funeral Home Chapel. Cathy was cremated per her request. Cremation arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.
Cathy was born December 16, 1959 in Hollister, California to Raymond Boyd Carns and Patricia Mae (Cochran) Johnson-Carns and passed away peacefully at her home in Fairview on June 20, 2020.
At the young age of 16 she moved to Longdale, Oklahoma to live with her grandparents and attend school in Canton, Oklahoma. After high school she moved to Okeene where she was a nurse and worked at the clinic there. In 1978 She married Boyce Combs and started their life together and moved back to Longdale. In 1979 the young couple was blessed with their first daughter Charissa Ann “Charly”. Now she took on a new role in life as a mother. Three years later they were blessed with their second daughter, Janel Marie, and in 1983 they moved to Fairview where she would live the rest of her life. In 1989 they were finally blessed with a son, Stephen Craig “Stevie”. Cathy was not only a mother to her three children, but also worked out of the home as a cook in many of the local restaurants. Of all the restaurants she cooked for she work the longest at the Queen’s Kitchen. She also had her own House Cleaning business that she ran for many years. Cathy was a very private lady that enjoyed life to its fullest. She was a loving mother and grandmother and friend that will be truly missed.
Cathy is survived by her husband and soulmate Boyce Combs of Meno, her two daughters; Charissa Ann “Charly” and husband Tony Foster of Fairview, Janel Marie Combs of Meno and son Stephen Craig “Stevie” and wife Kayla Hendricks of Fairview, nine grandchildren, one great grandchild, one brother Thomas Johnson and two sisters, Adella Johnson and Donna Lopez.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, her parents and two brothers.
Memorials can be made through the funeral home to the Cathy Combs Memorial.
