Doug Combs, 65 year old Woodward resident, passed from this life on Saturday, November 6, 2021. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, November 10, 2021 in the First United Methodist Church with Reverend Shannon Davis officiating. Cremation will follow with the Billings Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Charles Douglas Combs was born on November 5, 1956 to Charles Edward and Kathryn Jo (Potter) Combs. Doug grew up in Woodward, attended Woodward schools and graduated from Woodward High School with the class of 1975. Doug worked in the oilfield with various companies and he owned and operated his own over the road semi, driving all over the United States. Most recently Doug was working as a farmer and rancher, he throughly enjoyed his work.
Doug enjoyed outdoor grilling and being with family and friends. He was a friend to many, and was truly a genuine man.
He was a member of the Woodward First United Methodist Church. He was also a member of the Woodward Elks Lodge.
Doug is survived by his wife Tammy of the home; sons, Landon Combs and wife Sarah of Richmond, Virginia, Justin Elliott and wife Joanna of Woodward; daughter, Brooke McGahen of Woodward; grandchildren, Clarissa Elliott, Drew Elliott, Lauren Elliott, Kinlee McGahen, Charlie Combs, and one grandson on the way; brothers, Bob Combs and wife Donna of Woodward, Barry Combs and wife Adrienne of South Carolina, Bryan Combs and wife Rose of Woodward; many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and infant granddaughter, Emmalynn Jane Combs.
