William (Bill) Leon Combest, 64, of Ponca City, OK, left this life on Friday, February 7, 2025. A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Trout Funeral Home Chapel. Bill was born on June 19, 1960, in Ponca City, OK, to Richard and Betty J. (Hope) Combest. He attended Ponca City Public Schools and graduated from Po-Hi in May of 1978. He went on to receive his associates degree from NOC in 1980. Bill then served the city of Ponca City as a firefighter for 33 years.
He loved all sports, but especially Sooner Football. He thoroughly enjoyed reading, watching & quoting movies, as well as listening to and sharing all different kinds of music. He had a one of a kind sense of humor and always enjoyed making those around him laugh.
Bill is survived by his son Drew Combest and wife Katie, of Enid, OK; grandchildren, Hali, Nicole, Bryce; mother, Betty Combest of Ponca City, OK; brother, Steve Combest of Ponca City, OK; and other family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Richard (Dick) Combest.
