William (Bill) Leon Combest, 64, of Ponca City, OK, left this life on Friday, February 7, 2025. A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Trout Funeral Home Chapel. Those unable to attend the Funeral Ceremony, may attend virtually on the Trout Funeral Home website, www.troutfuneralhome.com and click on the live-stream or toolbar icon on the top right corner after 9:45 AM. Bill was born on June 19, 1960, in Ponca City, OK, to Richard and Betty J. (Hope) Combest. He attended Ponca City Public Schools and graduated from Po-Hi in May of 1978. He went on to receive his associates degree from NOC in 1980. Bill then served the city of Ponca City as a firefighter for 33 years.
He loved all sports, but especially Sooner Football. He thoroughly enjoyed reading, watching & quoting movies, as well as listening to and sharing all different kinds of music. He had a one of a kind sense of humor and always enjoyed making those around him laugh.
Bill is survived by his son Drew Combest and wife Katie, of Enid, OK; grandchildren, Hali, Nicole, Bryce; mother, Betty Combest of Ponca City, OK; brother, Steve Combest of Ponca City, OK; and other family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Richard (Dick) Combest.
