Clifford A. Colyer Jr. of Calera, OK and formerly of McAllen, TX was born on September 24, 1942, in Girard, Kansas to Clifford A. Colyer Sr. and Mildred Darcus (McNiel) Colyer. Clifford passed away on July 16, 2024, at his home in Calera, Oklahoma at the age of 81. Clifford attended school at McAllen, TX and graduated high school in La Joya, TX and later attended college at Pan American, TX. He married Mary Jo Earnest, and they were blessed with 49 years together until Mary Jo’s passing on November 7, 2013. He worked in the Credit and Construction industries until his retirement. He was of the Baptist faith, and he enjoyed model airplanes and motorcycles.

Clifford is preceded in death by his parents Clifford and Mildred Colyer Sr.; wife Mary Jo (Earnest) Colyer and grandson Clifford A. Colyer IV.

Clifford is survived by his son Clifford A. Colyer III of McAllen, TX; daughter Veronica Colyer of McAllen, TX; grandchildren Christopher Jon Colyer, Meagan Rea Colyer, Joshua James Colyer, and Casey Arthur Colyer all of Mission, TX; brother Ronald E. Colyer and wife Cindy of Granbury, TX; nieces Hollie Trussell and husband Bryson of Stephenville, TX and Chrystal Brinson and husband Allen of Arlington, TX and numerous extended family and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, July 25, 2024, at Roselawn Cemetery in McAllen, Texas. Pastor Don Fentem will officiate. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.brownsfuneralservice.com.

Arrangements are under the direction of Brown’s Durant Funeral and Cremation Service.
