Pauline was born on February 13, 1919 in Poteau, Oklahoma and passed away peacefully at her home in Wasco, July 6, 2004.
Pauline was the daughter of Sarah and James Evans. She was preceded in death by her parents, nine sisters and three brothers. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Colquitt, son, Joseph W. Garland, son-in-law, James Harris, and grandson, John Harris. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Eunice Garland and Ernest White of Elfrida, Arizona, Chris Garland and Cleo Brannon of Bakersfield, Gil and Janice Garland, Paula Garland and Don Johnson, and Larry Garland all of Wasco, and Bryce Groves of Fresno. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
Pauline was a loving mother and grandmother to her own and any others who were a part of her life, and will be missed by all of them. She spent several years helping her husband, Wesley, in all facets of their water well drilling business, Colquitt Drilling Co., while raising six children.
Viewing will be Thursday, July 8 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Friday, July 9, from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Peters Funeral Home in Wasco. Graveside services will be at the Wasco Memorial Park on Highway 46 at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 10, 2004.
