Terry (Carroll) Collins

May 29, 1932 ~ March 21, 2009

Graveside memorial services for Terry Collins, 77, of Chickasha will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 28, 2009, in the Moorehead Cemetery in Cherryvale, Kansas.

Terry [Carroll] Collins was born May 29, 1932, in Hutchinson Kansas, the fifth child of Homer D. and Lola Mae Carroll. She died March 21, 2009, in Chickasha.

She married Robert L. Collins and moved to Burlington, Kansas in 1964 to open Bob's IGA grocery store. Terry was an integral part of operations as book-keeper, checker and stocker in those early years.

She was a member of Rock Creek Country Club enjoying golf, Bridge, and ladies days and continued playing Bridge after moving to Chickasha in 2005.

Terry is preceded in death by both parents; husband, Bob; daughter, Linda Warren; two brothers: Leonard and Bobby; two sisters: Loraine and Doris.

She leaves behind a son and daughter-in-law: Don and Cathy Herman, of Chickasha; daughter and son-in-law: Debra and Virgil Boggess, of Grand Junction Colorado; son, Tim Herman, of Garnet, Kansas; one sister, Hazel Ralph, of Spokane, Washington; grandchildren: Shawn Warren, Robert Warren, Chad Gerry and Jessica Herman; great-grandchildren: Kira, Alex, and Ashley Warren.

Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
