 The funeral service for Rhuben "Short" James Collins Jr., 61-year-old Enid resident, is 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 11, 2022, in the Henninger-Hinson Chapel.

Short was born September 2, 1960, in Wynnewood, Oklahoma, to Rhuben James Collins Sr. and Nadine Carol (Eakins) Collins and died Friday, January 7, 2022, in his home in Enid.

He attended Longfellow Junior High and Enid High School. After High School, Short went right to work in a booming oil field. First, working for Circle C. and later with East-Co Rental, where he remained for twenty-six years until his death. Short's passion was his work, and he loved his family.

He is survived by his daughter, Rashell Collins-Bridle of Kingfisher; two granddaughters, Zoey and Maya; two grandsons, Tate and Jayden; one great-grandson, Kaleb; his step-mother, Glenda Collins; two brothers, Tony Collins and Terry Collins and wife Holly; sisters, Kim Bailey and husband Scott and Dee Stone and wife Lisa; step-sister Christi White; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, Rhuben James Collins Sr., Nadine Willey and Bill Willey, and his sister, Melissa Collins.
