Our beloved mother, grandmother, and sister Patricia Ann Brown Collins entered the arms of Jesus on June 3, 2023, shortly before her 84th birthday.
Pat was born to Dorothy and Frank Brown in Alva, Oklahoma, on June 17, 1939. She grew up in Alva among numerous friends, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was especially close to her grandparents, Ben and Bessie Cox, and spent many hours of her childhood at their home.
As a teenager, she excelled in ballet, tap and piano and was often the solo performer for Pettis School of Music. Her love of music was a big part of Pat's life and she learned to play the drums, guitar, piano, and sang in a small gospel band. Pat never met a stranger and many people were blessed by her compassion for others through the 30 years she worked as a mail clerk at St. Anthony Hospital. Pat shared a very close relationship with her four sisters, spending a week each year on "Sister's Week" traveling. However, Pat's biggest joy in life was her children and grandchildren whom she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Donita, granddaughter, Emma, and sister, Imogene.
She is survived by three daughters, Debbie Doran/John Caldwell, Christy Durbin/Kain, Patty McCoy/Dave, one son Travis Collins/Sky, eight grandchildren: Jason, Sonny, Lauren, Presley, Aries, Neka, Conner, and Malorie, eight great grandchildren and nine great, great grandchildren, brother, Jack Brown/Linda of Alva and three sisters, Carolyn Rogers/Kent, Jerri Goehler of Oklahoma City and Terri Collins of Denver, Colorado.
Due to Pat's deep faith in Jesus throughout her life, we are assured she is now singing with a heavenly choir. Memorial donations may be sent to True Friends Animal Rescue at PO Box 721781, Oklahoma City, OK 73172.
