Lynda (Kincannon) Collins
April 28, 1947 ~ November 7, 2013

Lynda Kincannon Collins passed peacefully Thursday, November 7, 2013, at the home of her daughter, Jennifer Beals, in Atlanta, Georgia, after a long battle with MS.

She was born April 28, 1947, in Enid, Oklahoma, to Dewey Ellis and Vera Alice Chalfant Kincannon.

She graduated from Enid High School in 1965 and attended college at Oklahoma State University, then transferred to Northwestern Oklahoma State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in primary education, specializing in mathematics.

Lynda married Bart Collins of Enid, Oklahoma, in 1969. She was an educator for five years. After taking classes at Georgia Tech in Atlanta, Georgia, she started her accounting career. After her early retirement due to MS, she and Bart moved to Holiday Island, Arkansas.

Lynda is survived by her husband, Bart; daughter, Jennifer and her husband Justin; and sisters, Sharon Parker of Enid and Cynthia Merrit of Fairview, Texas, and their families.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Marcia Ritter; and brother D. Ellis Kincannon Jr.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the MS Society.

A memorial for Lynda will be held in Enid, Oklahoma, in early December.

Stewart Barton "Bart" Collins

Sept. 13, 1943 ~ Feb. 17, 2017

Stewart "Bart" Barton Collins, died Feb. 17, 2017, in Atlanta, Georgia. He was born on Sept. 13, 1943, to Jacob Collins and Blanche Collins.

Bart attended Enid High School, graduating in 1963.

Bart enrolled in college at Northwestern Oklahoma State University graduating with a double major in Economics and Sociology.

He went to work for Conoco and then later Colonial Pipeline as the head of Budget Forecasting.

He retired from Colonial Pipeline after 30+ years of service.

Bart was married to Lynda Collins in 1969, in nearby Ponca City. They had a beautiful daughter Jennifer Lynn Collins who was Bart's greatest love.

He was an avid tennis player, incredible sense of humor, and exuded an overflowing kindness to all he met. They later adopted their son-in-law as Jennifer and Justin Beals were married in Atlanta Georgia.

Bart always remembered fondly growing up in Enid, his friends and family there.

Bart is survived by his daughter Jennifer Lynn Beals and son-in-law Justin Beals, his brothers Carl Collins, Ricky Collins, and his sister Jackie Collins Schweers.

A memorial service is 3 p.m. March 18, 2017, at the Little Chapel on the grounds of the Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center.
