Ricky Lee Cole, 68-year-old Salina resident, passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2024, at Hillcrest Pryor Hospital. He was born on December 20, 1956, in Ketchum, Oklahoma to Murl and Margie (Risman) Cole. Rick was a self-employed carpenter for most of his life. He was a wood worm, and loved doing anything with wood. He was working for the Lord in all he did, and had been serving the Lord through “The God Project” in Salina, or anywhere else the Lord sent him. He loved spending time with his family and friends as well. Rick and Debi Kay (Montgomery) were united in marriage on August 3, 2013, at the Ketchum Seventh Day Adventist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Murl Cole and Margie Daniels, his brother, Lloyd Daniels, his daughter, Melanie Davis, brother in-laws, Pete and Bean Montgomery.
The family includes his wife Debi Kay Cole of the home, his daughter, Dawnnetta Fite and husband Brian, step-sons, Monty Littlefield and wife Christie, Sonny Littlefield and wife Teresa, step-daughter, Wendy Pritchett and husband Matt, his sister, Kathy Beats and husband Tommy, sister-in-law, Diana Crowell and husband Kirk, eleven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at the Stephens-Key Chapel in Pryor.
The celebration of life will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at 12:00 noon, at the Ketchum SDA Church, with Pastor Allen Zubrod officiating. Interment will follow at the Cole Family Cemetery west of Adair. Online condolences may be made at www.stephens-key.com or on the funeral home Facebook page.
