Melissa I. "Missy" (Favreau) Cole
September 11, 1955 ~ September 17, 2019

Celebration of life services for Missy Cole will be Friday, September 27, 2019, at 1:30 pm in Anderson-Burris Chapel with Rev. Andrew Long officiating. Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.

Melissa "Missy" I. Favreau Cole was born September 11, 1955, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to Herbert and Virginia Favreau and died on September 17, 2019, in Enid, Oklahoma. She moved to Enid at an early age with her parents and graduated from the Enid Public School system. While at Enid High, Missy was an Enid High Bravette. She attended OU and Phillips University, and was employed at Singer Steel, then the Cherokee Strip Conference Center, and lastly the Small Business Development Center in Enid for the State of Oklahoma.

Missy was voted "Best Business Women" by the Enid News and Eagle Newspaper, received the "Women of Achievement Public Service Award" by the March of Dimes, and was the "Best Chili" winner in the United Way Chili Cook-Off. Some of her community and volunteer experience included: Vance Development Authority Board, Enid Regional Development Alliance Member, Greater Enid Chamber of Commerce, Chamber Ambassador, Cherokee Strip Centennial Committee, Public Relations Committee, Cherokee Strip Days Committee, NW District Livestock Committee, March of Dimes Board of Directors, Enid Public School Foundation Board, and United Way Representative for the City of Enid.

Missy was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Heather.

Missy is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Amber and Cory Hunter, grandchildren, Kimber, Kamryn, Joel and Raelyn of Bartlesville, OK; son, Garrett Crissup and Melissa of Enid; sister and brother-in-law, Teresa and Craig Vance of Lahoma; husband, Gary Cole of Enid; stepdaughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and John Huse, grandchildren, Madison, Raegan, Wyatt and Hannah of Celina, Texas; brother-in-law and wife, Mark and Karen Cole of Shenandoah, Iowa; sister-in-law and husband, Marilyn and Steve Kohn of Peoria, Illinois; other relatives and friends.

Many thanks and appreciation to Dr. Dennis McIntyre, Ross Healthcare Professionals, Tiffany, Erica, Jessica, Kelli, and Theresa for their steadfast assistance during Missy's illness. Also, to the ladies at Enid Senior Care for their assistance.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Enid YWCA or SPCA. Condolences maybe made online at www.andersonburris.com.
