Dale Eugene Colborn
July 15, 1929 ~ February 23, 2019

Dale Eugene Colborn, 89, passed away Saturday, February 23, 2019, at Attica Long Term Care in Attica, Kansas. He was born July 15, 1929 in Medicine Lodge, Kansas, the son of Arthur Harvey and Mary Ruth (Vannaman) Colborn. On June 5, 1949, he married Marjorie Esther (Martin) Colborn in Medicine Lodge. She preceded him in death on October 16, 2011.

Dale was a longtime resident of Medicine Lodge. He was a member of Community Bible Fellowship Church, Medicine Lodge. He served as a 4-H leader for years, on the Barber County Fair Board, the church board, attended Men's Bible Study, and participated and was an integral part in the Peace Treaty for many years.

He is survived by three sons, James (Cathy) Colborn of Medicine Lodge, Kansas, Jerry (Terrie) Colborn and Jeff (Shelley) Colborn all of Viola, Kansas; a brother, Gilbert (Ada) Colborn of Kiowa, Kansas; six grandchildren, Tim Colborn, Staci (Matt) Mies, Josh (Julie) Colborn, Shelby (Ryan) Colborn Moss, Matt Colborn and Ted Colborn; 13 great-grandchildren, Lindsay, Braden, Wyatt, Kaleb, Mason, Alex, Rylan, Hudson, Oliver, Bryan, Gavin, McKenzie and Ava.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie; parents; brother, Arthur V. Colborn; sisters, Esther Dotts and Audrey Redford; and baby sister, Norma Jean Colborn.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, February 28, 2019, at Larrison Funeral Home, 120 E. Lincoln, Medicine Lodge, Kansas, where family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, March 1, 2019, at Community Bible Fellowship Church, Medicine Lodge, Kansas, with Pastor Dwain Richert presiding. Burial will follow at New Liberty Cemetery, Gerlane, Kansas.

Memorials may be made to Attica Long Term Care or Community Bible Fellowship in care of the funeral home. Condolences may be left at http://www.larrisonmortuary.com.
