Charla Lynn (Crowe) Colaw
January 17, 1960 ~ July 23, 2019 (age 59)

Charla Lynn Colaw was born January 17, 1960 in Amarillo, Texas to Velma Irene (Wescoat) and Charles Louis Crowe. She passed away July 23, 2019 at Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 59 years, 6 months and 6 days.

Charla grew up and attended school in Amarillo, Texas. She moved with her family to Wichita, Kansas where she was married to John Colaw, III on March 6, 1982 and started her family 5 years later. She moved to Kansas City, Missouri and to Jacksonville, Florida before moving to Elk City, Oklahoma to make her home.

Charla enjoyed gardening, crafts, collecting art, crocheting, music, caring for her dogs and spending time with her children, grandchildren and the rest of her family. Charla was a hippie at heart and loved life and everything it had to offer.

She is preceded in death by her parents, infant daughter, Tiffany, 1 brother, Jamie Crowe.

She is survived by her children, John Orval Colaw, IV, Denver, CO, Candice Mish'e Colaw, Burns Flat, OK and Daisy Mae Colaw, Kansas City, MO; 2 grandchildren, Vincent and Adelaide; her siblings, Connie Creswell and husband, Steve, Elk City, OK, Kathy McNutt and husband, Toney, Burns Flat, OK, Kim Haas, Elk City, OK, April Dawn Walker and Scotty Sims, Elk City, OK, Chuck Crowe and Kathy Courtney, Burns Flat, OK and Jimmie Crowe and Lori Clinesmith, Burns Flat, OK; a very special "Arla" Karla Thompson, Jones, OK and a host of other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, August 3, 2019 at 6:00 P.M. at the home of Steve and Connie Creswell, 1200 Colorado Avenue, Elk City, OK. Arrangements are under the direction of Whinery Funeral Service.
