Robert Lyman Coffee Sr.

The Memorial services celebrating and honoring the life of Ret. SSG Robert Lyman Coffee Sr. 72, of Enid are pending in the Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

Robert was born May 20, 1950, to Marlon Matthew and Doris Jean Sneed Coffee in Kirkwood, Missouri and passed from this life January 27, 2023, in Enid, Oklahoma.

He was raised and educated in Fort Zumwalt, Missouri graduating from Fort Zumwalt High School with the class of 1967. After high school he enlisted in the United States Army in 1967 and honorably served his county serving two tours in Vietnam and Saudi Arabia during Desert Storm. He married Linda Neal March 30, 1970, in Lamont, Missouri, from this union came one son Robert Coffee Jr. He was then married to Diane Thompson of Minnesota in 1980 in Germany. In February 1982 from this union came one daughter, Nicole Coffee. He retired from the Army in 1987. After his retirement he moved with his brother Butch to Albuquerque, New Mexico. He later married George Ann Harris "Red" October 6, 2006 and was by her side until her passing in 2022. The couple lived in Enid where he owned and operated Cimarron Taxi until his retirement in 2014.

He was a very hard worker and was always willing to help anyone.

He is survived by his son, Robert Coffee Jr. and wife Terri Becker, of Enid and their two children Kat and Ronnie; his daughter Nicole Coffee and her daughter, Anabella Dunford, of Minnesota; his ex-wife Linda Coffee, brothers Butch and Tony; sisters, Linda Jean Monroe and Holly Coffee and half-sister Jean Carson; eight nieces; and three nephews.

He was preceded in death by his second wife George Ann “Red” Coffee; his parents, Marlon and Doris Coffee; siblings, Christopher, David, Sandra, and Timothy; and one nephew Dustin.
