Joni (Hasenfratz) Cockrum-Thorpe
October 23, 1950 ~ September 16, 2023

Joni Cockrum-Thorpe, 72, beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister, and aunt, was called to her eternal resting place on September 16, 2023. She entered this world on October 23, 1950, in Perry, Oklahoma, born to Merle J. Hasenfratz and Elenora M Heppler Hasenfratz.

Joni attended Perry Schools and graduated from Perry in 1968. She met the love of her life Stanley Cockrum, and they were married in 1981. He preceded her in death on October 12, 2003. Joni was fortunate to find love again and she married Mark Thorpe on October 11, 2006, in Perry, OK and they made their home in Ponca City, OK, and he also preceded her in death on December 19, 2021. Joni enjoyed reading, travelling and spending time with family. She worked at the United supermarket in Blackwell for over 21 years with plans of retiring this year.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her two sons Robert Cockrum and wife Susan of Ponca City, OK. and Tommee Wolfe and wife Melanie of Maine, one daughter; Jackie Kirkes of TX. Grandchildren: Taylor Sebor and Tylar Thorpe Both of Ponca City, OK, Levi Thorpe of Arizona, sister, Janis Gill and husband Bud of Scottsdale, AZ niece, Deborah Conti and husband Aaron Nephews, Troy Karcher and wife Dallas, David Gill and wife Donna, also surviving are numerous grandkids and great grandkids, great nieces and nephews.

Joni was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, Stanley Cockrum and Mark Thorpe, and one grandson, Broque Cockrum

Joni's wishes were to be cremated and no services are planned at this time.
