James Richard "Jim" Cobb
April 28, 1938 ~ January 28, 2020

James "Jim" Richard Cobb, age 81 of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma passed away on January 28, 2020 in Oklahoma City. He was born on April 28, 1938 in Guthrie, Oklahoma.

Jim graduated from Guthrie High School in 1956 and then joined the Army. He worked as a petroleum landman and retired in 2015. On September 29, 2017 he married Pauletta Emmert in Norman, Oklahoma.

Jim was a member of the Kiwanis Club. He enjoyed watching Fox News, snow skiing, golfing, going on cruises, and playing sudoku. Jim also enjoyed watching college football and any kind of baseball, especially the Texas Rangers.

Survivors include his wife Pauletta Cobb of the home, daughters Vicki Hosman and husband Cal of Aurora, Colorado and Trisha Johnson and husband David of Prosper, Texas, brother Bill Cobb and wife Linda of San Diego, California, grandchildren Chris Johnson of Plano, Texas, Mike Johnson of Dallas, Texas, Zac Garcia and wife Madeline of Richardson, Texas, and Caylin Cordova and husband Dylan of Aurora, Colorado, and great grandchildren Maddox, Gus, and Leo. Jim is also survived by the mother of his children, Sharon Cobb. Jim was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather Roberta and Jack Diaz and grandparents Mayme and Clarence McCoy.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at West Guthrie United Methodist Church with Chaplain Gene Owen officiating. Services are under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 31, 2020 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Hayes Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association (6601 Broadway Ext #120, Oklahoma City, OK 73116) or the American Lung Association (710 W. Wilshire Blvd, Suite 101, Oklahoma City, OK 73116).
