Ronald Paul Clopp, age 70, died Sunday February 4, 2018 at his home with family by his side. He was born March 12, 1947 in Bartlesville, OK to Paul and Billie (Kay) Clopp.
He was a 1965 graduate of Bartlesville High School (formally COLLEGE-HI School) and then attended Oklahoma State University before serving his country in the United States Army Reserves.
Ron married the love of his life Judy (Shepherd) in 1969 and they would have celebrated 49 years of marriage this August.
He worked in the grocery/supermarket industry and in 1981 he moved to Yukon to manage the Food World Supermarket. Ron was actively involved in the Yukon community and received awards and honors from the Yukon Chamber of Commerce, Yukon DECA, and Food World. He finished his career as Merchandizing Manager for Sara Lee, Inc. for the western section of Oklahoma and the Texas panhandle. He loved being with family, watching his grandkids, OU football, his guitar and the late Dale Earnhardt #3. He was passionate about his relationship with the Lord and was never without a prayer or word of encouragement for his family, friends or a stranger he would meet. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his grandson Paul Horace Ward (2013), both parents and brother Jerry and mother-in-law Helen Gae (Earley) Shepherd..
He is survived by his wife Judy, son Matt and his wife Shannon, daughter Paula Ward and her husband David, three grandchildren; Tristan, Jordan and Ashlyn Clopp. As well as his brother Newt and his wife Robin, his sister Debbie Pryce and nieces and nephews; Chad and Heather Clopp, Kristy Pryce, Shane and Tanya Pryce, Allison and Kevin Morris, April and Justin Cowart and Braxton and Jordan Clopp.
A Memorial Service will be held 2:00pm, Monday, February 12, 2018 at The Bridge Church, Mustang Oklahoma.
