Stevan L. Clift was born December 12, 1942, in Enid, Oklahoma, to Howard and Elise Clift, and passed peacefully on Sunday, October 3, 2021, at the age of 78.
Steve graduated from Enid High School in 1960 and then served in the United States Army for 3 years. After serving in the Army, he graduated from business school to enhance his career as the director of Data Processing at Mid-Western Life Insurance Co, for which he was employed for 28 years. After the closure of Mid-Western Life, Steve began his 10-year career with Alco as the store manager, which led him and Patty to Watonga, OK.
Steve married Linna Lynch in 1965, and they had two sons, Rusty and Randy. On December 30, 1991, Steve married Patty Wanzer. Steve had a love for car racing and was very successful in that hobby. He took pride in everything he did, especially working on and rebuilding cars with his sons. Some of his favorite pastimes were hunting, fishing, playing pool, watching boxing and the OSU Cowboys. Steve and Patty enjoyed doing yard work and home projects together.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Elise Clift, and his two older brothers, Robert and Miner. He is survived by his wife, Patty Clift, of Watonga, OK; son, Rusty Clift and significant other Sue Oznick of Hickory Creek, TX; son, Randy Clift and wife Danielle of Weatherford, TX; step-daughter Heather Pirtle of Oklahoma City, OK; step-daughter Kristy Skidmore and husband Seth of Enid, OK; grandchildren Joshua, Jordan, Connor, Lizzy, Ashtyn, Paden and Palmer; and great-grandchildren Khai and Jax.
Memorial services for Steve will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at the Nazarene Church in Watonga, Oklahoma. Wilkinson Mortuary will be handling the arrangements.
Memorial contributions in Steve's name may be made to the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW).
