Silas Dean Clark

Silas Dean Clark
June 9, 1927 ~ October 12, 2025

Silas Dean Clark, affectionately known as "Brushy," passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at the age of 98, in Las Vegas, Nevada. A lifelong resident of the Bartlesville and Dewey area, he was a devoted family man and a dedicated employee and veteran.

Silas was born on June 9, 1927, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, to Price Clark and Maude (Davis) Clark. He was a proud graduate of Dewey High School. Following his education, he honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy during the latter stages of World War II.

On June 11, 1948, he married the love of his life, Olive (Adamson) Clark. Silas dedicated 38 years of his professional life to Phillips Petroleum Co., where he retired as a Pilot Plant Operator/Supervisor.

In his earlier years, Silas enjoyed the Western lifestyle, spending time involved with the cattle business, calf roping, and farming. After his retirement, he became an avid golfer.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Olive (Adamson) Clark; his daughters, Dana Jo Baker and Karen Sue Thrall; his son, Gary Dean Clark; his brother, Jack Clark; and his sister, Betty Klewer.

Silas is survived by his son, Matthew P. Clark and his wife, Rose. He is also survived by his grandson, Travis Dean Thrall and his wife Sandra; three great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Dewey First Baptist Church.
