Rodney Charles Clark passed away October 4, 2018. Rodney was born on September 26, 1943 in Amarillo, Texas to Quilla and Ozella Clark.
Rodney married Gaylynn Jeffers Clark on June 10, 1967 and they were married 51 years. They have two sons, Brandon Clark of Claremore, OK and Jason Clark of Cashion, OK.
Rodney graduated from Lakeview High School in 1962 and graduated from Texas Tech University, Lubbock, Texas with a degree in Agronomy/Crop Science. Rodney grew up working with his Dad on a cotton farm in Leslie, Texas. He never wanted to farm but he worked with farmers selling seed and talking care of all their needs to help them have a successful crop for over 40 years.
Rodney never met a stranger and everyone knew Rodney for his outgoing personality and his love to talk and share stories with his friends. Rodney touched many lives through his friendships, Masons and Waterloo Road Baptist Church. He loved traveling, fishing, hunting, antiquing and being with his family and friends. He was a man of many talents, artist, Scrimshaw artist, gunsmith, mechanic, wonderful handyman that mastered anything that he took interest in.
Rodney was a 33 degree Mason, member of Guthrie Lodge 35, Scottish Rite, York Rite, Eastern Star. He was a certified eye examiner for the school children in Guthrie, Cashion and Coyle schools and volunteer for Peppers Ranch annual money drive.
Rodney is survived by his wife Gay of Guthrie, OK, two sons, Brandon and wife Ashli, Jason and wife Jennifer and four grandchildren, Kai, Seth, Kolbie and Aliyah. Rodney was preceded in death by his parents, Quilla and Ozella Clark.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, October 8, 2018 at the Waterloo Road Baptist Church, 3100 E. Waterloo Road, Edmond, OK with Pastor Griff Henderson officiating. Interment will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Fairview Cemetery in Memphis, Texas with Larry Jeffers officiating. Services are under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.
