Donald "Don" Lee Clark, 85, of Colorado City, Texas, passed away at 12:15
p.m. Sunday, November 19, 2023 at Columbus Regional Hospital.
Don was
born September 8, 1938, in Colorado, Texas, the son of Cecil T. and Obie R.
Standifer Clark. On May 31, 1958, he married Mary Ellen Moore.
Mr. Clark worked as a Safety Supervisor for Union Texas Petroleum for 40 years before retiring. He was a hardworking, 32nd degree freemason in Colorado City, Texas Lodge #563. Don also served as president of the Senior Golf Association of Oklahoma. He will be remembered as a fantastic husband, father and grandfather. He loved his family, his beloved dog, Boomer and tending to his garden of tomatoes, peppers and onions. Don was an excellent golfer. Besides the great times spent with his golf buddies on the course, he also cherished the time playing rounds of golf with his grandsons too.
Survivors include his wife, Ellen; daughter, Sheri (Daniel) Chupp; son, Stephen Don Clark of Oklahoma; grandchildren, Kyle Aaron (Brittany)McDole, all of Columbus, Kristopher (Justine Solis) McDole, Deva Love Clark; great grandchildren, Sophia McDole and William McDole.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Wayne Clark.
In keeping with the family's request, cremation will take place and no service is planned at this time.
