Janice Jane Ciarla

Janice Jane Ciarla
March 1, 1955 ~ September 4, 2020

A private burial will be held at a later date for Janice Jane Ciarla, 65, of Enid. At her request, no services will be held.

Janice was born March 1, 1955 in Enid, Oklahoma to Joseph and Betty (McClintock) Ciarla and passed away September 4, 2020 in Enid. She graduated from Enid High School in 1973. She served honorably in the United State Air Force from 1980-1982 as an Electronic Intelligence Operation Specialist and Space Object Identification Technician while stationed at Offutt AFB, Nebraska; Clear AFS, Alaska; and Shaw AFB. On September 21, 1984, she married C. Michael Ribariu in Lahoma, Oklahoma. He passed away in 1995.

Janice’s beloved Grandma McClintock taught her to sew. Sewing became a lifelong passion. She made clothing, crafts and gorgeous quilts. She volunteered her talents to Quilts of Valor, making around 100 quilts to honor servicemen. Everyone in the family has a quilt to remember her by. She was a Corgi lover and had a number of dogs over the years to show and spoil. She also wrote 3 fiction books with the main characters being Corgis. She was writing a fiction story about Alaska when she left us. Many people in Enid benefitted from her kindness with meals, errands and sewing.

She is survived by her parents; sisters, Waynetta (Bob) Newsom and Cheryl Beck; brothers, Steve (Geraldine) Ciarla and Andy (Linda) Ciarla. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents.

Condolences may be made at ladusauevans.com

Memorial donations in Janice’s name may be made to Heartland Pet Cemetery or Quilts of Valor with Ladusau-Evans serving as custodian of the funds.
