July 11, 1955 ~ September 18, 2014

Memorial service for Michael E. Choat, 59-year-old Enid resident, will be 4:30 p.m. Monday, September 22, 2014, at Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel. Chaplain Gary Miller will officiate.

Mike was born July 11, 1955, in Enid, to Albert and Lucille (Schroeder) Choat and died at home September 18, 2014, surrounded by his family.

Following his passion for trucking, he worked several years as a truck driver.

He met the love of his life while playing pinball, and on July 14, 2000, Mike married Debra Ruckman.

Mike was a loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed golf and was an avid University of Oklahoma fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter.

Mike is survived by his wife, Debra; two daughters; eight grandchildren; sister, Karen Eisenhart of Gulf Breeze, FL; aunt, Erma June Choat of Enid; two nieces and nephews; as well as two beloved dogs, Chewy and Luther.

Memorials can be given through the funeral home to American Cancer Society.
