Kathy Jean (Phillps) Cheshier
August 12, 1953 ~ November 21, 2023

Kathy Jean Phillps, born on August 12, 1953, Dallas County, TX and gracefully completed her earthly journey on November 21, 2023.

Kathy embarked on a lifelong journey with the love of her life, Johnnie Cheshier.

Kathy and Johnnie worked several years at Trade Industries in McLeansboro, Illinois which is home for adults with special needs. They gave the residents such great care and love.

Kathy and Johnnie also drove 18 wheelers and loved it. They took turns driving and was able to travel together.

After Johnnie passed Kathy moved back to be closer to her sisters.

Kathy loved to get out of the house, and she loved to party. She went to all the family gatherings. We started an annual sister’s Thanksgiving she never missed one.

Kathy leaves behind a legacy of love, family, and enduring memories.

Kathy is survived by her sisters Jody Jones, Debbie Crone and husband Ted, Sheila Patti and husband Mark, Sandy Blevins and husband Johnny, Brenda Braddy and husband David and Danah Springmeyer and husband Howard and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and brother in laws.

Kathy was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Helen Gregory, Stepdad Bobby Gregory and Biological dad Arthur Wayne Phillps. Sister Rita Gail Phillps.

Kathy’s departure leaves a void in the hearts of her family and friends, but her spirit and love will continue to shine bright in their memories. She will be dearly missed but never forgotten.

A Celebration of Life for Kathy Jean Cheshier will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday December 3rd, 2023 at Cunningham Funeral Home in Colbert, Oklahoma The register book may be signed and condolences sent to the family online @ cunninghamfuneralhomesok.com Arrangements are entrusted to Cunningham Funeral Home in Colbert, Oklahoma.
