Timothy Darren Chaney Sr, 56, of Enid, Oklahoma passed on March 2, 2023. Timothy was born on September 2, 1966 in Blackwell Oklahoma to Cedric Earl Chaney and Judy Pauline Chaney and passed away at 08:33AM in Edmond, Oklahoma at Integris Health Hospital.
In his lifetime, he fathered 5 children with his ex wife Darlene Phillips. He enjoyed hunting, camping, gaming and being at the lake whenever he could. He enjoyed long phone conversations with his daughter Heather, who he called Nikkimouse, and her 4 children. He enjoyed doing outdoor things with his sons Timothy and David during their early childhood years and listening to Amber and Katie’s about their love for whales and other aquatic creatures as children. He was big about “booping their noses” anytime he seen them or talked about them. He served in the US Army in his early twenties before getting honorably discharged early and returning home to his family.
Timothy was preceded in death by his Mother Judy Pauline Chaney, his grandmother Iva Mae Butzbach, WWII veteran grandfather Albert Earl Butzbach Sr, and uncle Albert Earl Butzbach.
He is survived by his four children, Timothy Chaney Jr of Enid, David Chaney of Enid, Amber Wilson and husband Zach Wilson, Heather Matlock and husband Austin Matlock, and Katie Austin (Chaney), survived by his grandchildren Cherish Matlock, twins Trenton and Lukas Matlock, and youngest Stella Matlock. He is also survived by 3 brothers and 1 sister, Terry Chaney, Arthur Chaney, Cedric Van Chaney and Deanna Chaney.
Per his request, no memorial or services will be provided. The family would like to acknowledge and thank the staff in the ICU at Integris Health in Edmond for the phenomenal care provided to our loved one, and the compassion and care provided by Miller EMS during transfer services.
