Jimmie Don "Jim" Chaney

Jimmie Don "Jim" Chaney
July 29, 1949 ~ November 25, 2017

Jimmie (Jim) Don Chaney was born July 29, 1949 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma to Henry and Norma Lee (King) Chaney. He passed away November 25, 2017 at his home in Copan, Oklahoma.

Jim has made the Bartlesville area his home his entire life. He worked and later retired from the oilfield, where he was a man of many traits. Being employed as a roustabout, a pumper, a mechanism, you name it, Jim has probably done it.

Jim enjoyed camping, fishing, and hunting. But what he loved more than anything was cooking and hanging out with all his family and friends. Jim was a family man and a hero to many and he will always be his family's angel. Jim will be greatly missed by everyone whose life he touched.

Jim is survived by his ex-wife and best friend, Judy Chaney; two daughters, Rhonda Martin and her husband, Jim Bob and Angela Lowry and her husband, Jesse; one son, Jimmy Don Chaney Jr. and his wife, Jackie; three brothers, Lon Chaney and his wife, Becky, John Chaney and his wife, Donna, and Bob Chaney and his wife, Kerry; seven grandsons, Levi Anderson, Bryce King, Blake King, Hunter Lockman and his wife, Sierra, Corbin Lockman, Jimmy Chaney, and Waylon Chaney; one granddaughter, Michelle Ketchum; five great-granddaughters, Jentri Anderson, Paislee King, Kiane Lockman, Emma Lockman, and Allie Lockman; and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his faithful and loving dog, Rusty.

He is preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Norma Lee and Cecil Baxter and his father, John Henry Chaney.

Cremation arrangements are under the care of Davis Family Funeral Home.

Online condolences and remembrance may be shared with Jim's family at www.DavisFamilyFuneralHome.com.
