ENID, Okla. ? Funeral service celebrating the life of Margaret "Marti" Chain, 40, of Lahoma, will be 3 p.m. Sunday, June 9, 2013, at Enid First Assembly Church. Pastors, Dan Barrick and Bryan Bishop, will co-officiate. Cremation will follow. Service is under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
Marti was born May 26, 1973, to Max and Marilyn Fletcher in Eureka, Calif., and passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2013, in Lahoma, Okla.
She grew up in Eureka, Calif., and graduated from Eureka High School. She then attended Humboldt State University, where she received a degree in education, specializing in special education. She was a cheerleader, active in chorus and plays throughout High school and college. She worked at Laurel Tree Charter School and Washington Elementary before proudly becoming a stay-at-home wife and full-time mother.
She had recently moved to Oklahoma with her family.
She is survived by her husband, J.W. Chain, and two daughters, Carson Carmichael and Payton Francis of the home. Her father, Max Fletcher; one brother, John Fletcher; one sister, Elizabeth Fletcher; and niece, Marissa, all of Eureka.
She was preceded by her mother, Marilyn.
Memorials may be given to the Chain Children?s Education Fund, with Brown-Cummings Funeral home serving as custodian of the funds.
