Chris Cavnar, age 26 of Purcell, passed away Saturday, January 18, 2014. Christopher Wayne Cavnar was born July 4, 1987 in Clovis, NM, the older of two children born to William Wayne "Bill" Cavnar and Stephanie Ann (Graybeal) Cavnar. The son of military parents, Chris spent his early childhood in New Mexico. There was a brief stint in England and back to New Mexico, before moving to Oklahoma. Chris attended school at Washington, where he was active in Little League Baseball and track. He was a graduate of the Class of 2006 in Moore. Chris enjoyed being outside and especially enjoyed fishing and hunting. He spent countless hours studying foreign languages, and he was an avid reader, who never missed an opportunity to read a good book. Chris loved hard and lived fast and he was happiest when �going Mach 2 with his hair on fire� either saddled on his dirt bike or in his Acura. He will be dearly missed!
He was preceded in death by: His grandfather, Will Rogers Cavnar; His great grandparents, Pete and Lena Willhite, Virgil and Edna Graybeal, Eli and Jewel Riggle and Casey and June Cavnar.
Chris leaves behind: His parents, Bill and Stephanie Cavnar of Purcell; His sister, Jamie Cavnar and his niece Aubrey, of Purcell; Grandparents, Jim and Vicki Graybeal of Shelbyville, KY; Glenn and LaVerne Hill of Purcell and Honorary Grandparents, Dale & Lydia Falk of WI; Aunt, Teri Cavnar of Norman; Uncles, Ed Graybeal and wife Ellen of Nashville, TN, Sonny Cavnar of Purcell and Tom Cavnar and wife Carolyn of Purcell; 4 cousins, Danny Cavnar, Dana Cavnar, Kenny Cavnar and Tim Cavnar; and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Thursday, January 23, 2014 at the Landmark Church in Purcell. Memorials may be made to 12and12 Inc., @ 6333 E. Skelly Dr., Tulsa, OK, 74135.
