Christi Ann Caughron

October 14, 1954 ~ July 15, 2001

 Christi Caughron, 66 year old Woodward resident, passed away Thursday, July 15, 2021 at home surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 21, 2021 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Chris Ames officiating. Interment will be at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Dalhart, Texas at 3:00 p.m.

Christi Ann Caughron was born on October 14, 1954 in Dalhart, Texas to Russell Hayden and Mildred Dora (Stites) Caughron. She grew up in Dalhart and graduated from Dalhart High School in 1973. During her high school years Christi worked for GE Telephone as a Telephone Operator. After moving to Woodward, she worked at T.G.& Y and the Fruit of the Loom Factory before going to work for the original Bank of Woodward which later became BancCentral for 30 years. Christi also worked as a substitute teacher.

She was a long time member of the Woodward United Pentecostal Church where she worked as their Church Secretary for many years. She was a member of the UPC Womens Bible study. Christi loved spending time with her family, she had so many nieces and nephews and her church family whom she loved dearly. She enjoyed making peanut brittle with her church family, visiting Red River, New Mexico with her sisters and other trips with her sisters.

She is survived by her sisters: Hazel Walker of Dalhart, Texas, Glenda Frazier and husband David of Woodward, Diane Gillespie and husband George of Moline, Kansas, Dora Parker and husband Dale of Dalhart, Texas, Lavetta Trujillo and husband Richard of Dalhart, Texas; nieces and nephews: Mary Gonzales, Roland Jones, Tonia Brooks and husband Larry, Shawn Caughron and wife Lori, Tammie Yeager and husband Steven, Floyd Walker and wife Jody, Pam Brewer and husband Shannon, Gabe Caughron and wife Malea, Jessica Sides and husband Jerrett, Amber Wilson and husband Adam, Misti Byers and husband Katlin, Ashley Schultz and husband Kyle; great-nieces and nephews: Carson Brooks, Justin Bilbo and wife Tami, Kyle Bilbo and wife Rachel, Chelsea Bilbo, Cassie Poole and husband Kelby, Tyrell Yeager, Camden Caughron, Hayden Brewer, Katy McDonough, Hannah Walker, Laci Jones, Hayden Walker, Haylee Brewer, Hayden Caughron, Allie Caughron, Nick Parker and wife Skylar, Madison Parker, Matthew Parker, Ian Sides, Hannah Sides, Colin Wilson, Ashton Wilson, Cydni Wilsom, Lani Wilson Gavin Wilson, Millie Schultz, Kaylee Ann Schultz, Gracie Schultz, Jacob Gonzales, Bianca Berry and husband Tony, Rhett Bilbo, Annie Bilbo, Cole Poole, Beau Parker, Addie Parker, Marshal Parker, Caleb McDonough, Natalie Berry, Ty Berry, Scarlett Berry, Olive Berry, Frankie Berry, Eli Berry, Jac Aleria Gonzales, Jacob Jr Gonzales, Brynn Bilbo; other relatives and friends.

Christi was preceded in death by her parents, Rusty and Mildred Caughron, brother, Russell Eugene Caughron, brother-in-law, Robert Walker and great-niece Emali Jones.
