Joshua Alan Caughman

Joshua Alan Caughman
September 24, 1984 ~ May 28, 2014

Joshua Alan Caughman was born September 24, 1984, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma to David Alan and Jerrie (Drywater) Caughman. He died on May 28, 2014, in Stilwell, Oklahoma, at the age of 29 years.

In his 29 years of life, what he enjoyed mostly was sports and talking with friends. He loved playing football and basketball and was exceptionally good at both. He played in many tournaments as a child. He had many trophies on his wall. In his junior year of high school he went to state play-offs with Sequoyah High School and made it to the semi-finals. In his senior year he was a contributor to their winning the state championship in basketball.

Josh entertained the idea of going to college and was close to achieving that but was stricken with a debilitating illness that hindered him for the next 10 years of his life. Josh will be missed by numerous friends and relatives.

Josh was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Buster and Bessie Drywater and his paternal grandfather, Jim Caughman.

He is survived by his parents, Alan and Jerrie Caughman, of Stilwell; his paternal grandmother, Margie Fox and husband, Arthur; one sister, Natasha Poafpybitty; two nieces, Jaylee and Kya; one nephew, Mason and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Memorial services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 31, 2014, at Hart Memorial Chapel with Lawrence Williams officiating. Final arrangements were entrusted to the care of Hart Funeral Home of Stilwell.
