Irene Ethel (Smith) Cathers

Irene Ethel Smith Cathers, long-time, Chandler, Oklahoma, resident, was born August 17, 1930, in Chandler, Oklahoma, and departed this life March 24, 2016, in Edmond, Oklahoma, at the age of 85 years.

Irene was the daughter of Earl and Lillie Simon Smith.

She worked in sales at Dillard's Department Store for many years.

Her parents; husband, Chris; and three sisters preceded Irene in death.

Survivors include, three daughters, Angela Bridge of Chandler, Debbie Crews of Chandler, and Nancy Nawroki of Austin, Texas; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; other relatives and many friends.

A private family services will be held at a later date.

Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler, Oklahoma.
