Funeral services for Mary Ojeda Castro, 96, of Chickasha, Okla., are pending with Ferguson Funeral Home.

Mary Ojeda Castro was born May 26, 1908, in Ensenada, B.C., California, and died on Monday, Jan. 21, 2003, in Chickasha.

Memorial services for Mary Ojeda Castro, 96, of Chickasha, Okla., will be held at 5 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 27, 2003, in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel.

Mary Ojeda Castro was born May 26, 1908, in Ensenada, Baja, Calif., and died on Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2003, in Chickasha. Services are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.

Memorial service for Mary Ojeda Castro, 96, of Chickasha, will be held Monday, January 27, 2003, at 5:00 p.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Gary Layman officiating.

Mary Ojeda Castro was born May 26, 1908, in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico, the daughter of Zelo and Jesus Gonzales Ojeda. She died January 21, 2003, in Chickasha.

Mary moved to San Diego as a young child, where she attended public schools.

She lived in and around the San Diego area for over seventy-five years, before coming to Chickasha in 1992.

She married Tony P. Castro in San Diego on May 4, 1925.

Mary was a homemaker all her life and enjoyed crocheting and cooking and being a mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She had been a member of the 16th and Florida Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by both parents; her husband Tony, on September 1, 1991, her son, Tony Ralph Castro in 1993, and a granddaughter, Linda Marie Connelly on May 22, 1990.

Survivors include: one daughter: Lola Meier of Chickasha; one son and daughter-in-law: Frank and Rose Castro of Carson, California; one sister-in-law, Stella Castro of Hawthorne, California; nine grandchildren: John Cowart, Cindy Valentine, Cathy Rodina, Joe Castro, Vickie Shaffer, Ernest Castro, Michael Castro and David Castro; twenty four great-grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.

Services are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
