Jane Ann Castro, 72, passed away August 10, 2013. Jane was born December 12, 1940 in Chicago, Illinois to Ed and Mary Corinne (Burkhalter) Scarborough.
On July 26, 1985, on the 15th hole at the Oklahoma University Golf Course, Jane married the love of her life, Al Castro.
She was an avid sports fan, especially enjoying OU Football and Thunder Basketball. She loved shopping, playing video games, painting, and watching movies; anything from mystery to Disney.
Jane was a wonderful cook and her family loved her pot roast, beans, mashed potatoes, cornbread, peanut brittle and fudge, just to name a few. She is remembered for her kind spirit and gave to many different charities, including the Disabled Veterans, the Humane Society and the Second Chance Animal Shelter.
Jane is survived by her husband Al Castro; daughters Launa Maier, Jill and husband Mike Davis, and Connie Ogle; sister DeLisa and husband Dennis Anderson; stepchildren Paul and wife Kim Castro; Greg and wife Tonja Castro; Susan and husband Larry Flesner; Elaine and husband Greg Truitt. She had 16 grandchildren Corey, Courtney, Matthew, Caitlin, Celia, Ryan, Kyle, Caleb, Casey, Ryan, Reid, Hanna, Luke, Katie, Josie, and Jack and 4 great grandchildren. She had a niece Lyndsey and husband Bill Hause and nephew Justin and wife Christina Wright.
Services will be 10:00 AM Thursday August 15, 2013 at the Chapel of Havenbrook Funeral Home.
