Haskell A. Castleberry. Jr.

????  ~ June 10, 2006 | Age 64

Haskell A. Castleberry. Jr., 64, New Albany, Ind, passed away Saturday, June 10, 2006 at Sellersburg Rehab and Nursing Care Center.

Hack was a long time resident of Durant, and moved to New Albany 15 years ago to be near his grandchildren after retirement. He was lead man for 25 years at Peabody Steel, and also owned two small business based in Durant; Castleberry Painting and Castleberry Industrial Maintenance and Janitorial Service. He was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Durant and was very active in the local chapter of the Durant Lion's Club. 

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Mary Ann Moore Castleberry; daughter Sharon L. Barreras and he husband Hector, Floyds Knobs, Ind, grandchildren, Christina Barreras Popoviciu and her husband Petrica, Indianapolis, Ind., Gabriel Barreras, Los Angeles Calif., and Nicollette Barreras, Floyds Knob, and brother; J.T. Castleberry, Calif. 

Mr. Castleberry had battled Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease for ten years. He bequeathed his body to the University of Louisville Medical Center for neurological research. A memorial service commemorating his life will be held at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, 2212 State Street, New Albany, Ind, 47150, on Thursday. 

Expressions of sympathy may be made in Mr. Castleberry's honor to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation, 1349 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York, NY 10018; or the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eight Avenue, 6th floor, New York, NY 10001.
