The family of Marita Gordon Casteel will have a come and go The family visitation on Friday Jan. 15, 2021 from 2:00 – 4:00 at Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home. Marita went to our Heavenly Father December 30, 2020 at Alliance Health Hospital in Midwest City.
Marita was born in Enid, OK on June 23, 1951 to Alfred and Betty Clements Gordon. She grew up in Hennessey and graduated from Hennessey High School in 1969. She retired from Pioneer Telephone after 28 years of service. On April 26, 2002 Marita married John Casteel, they lived in Hennessey and Stillwater before moving to Garber in 2013 to be near family. She enjoyed knitting, crochet, reading and keeping up with her friends and family on social media.
Marita is survived by her husband John Casteel of the home, three daughters; Andrea Reneau and husband Jamie Anthony, KS, Jodie Thorp and husband Michael of Garber, Cassie Gonzalez and husband Javier of Topeka, KS. five grandchildren; Anna Thorp, Kylie Roman, Olivia Roman, Antonio Roman and Santiago Gonzalez, one sister; Kathy George and husband Mick of Waynoka, Ok.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Furever Friends with the funeral home serving as custodian of the fund.
