Anna Mae Cash, a beloved mother, grandmother, and resident of Durant, Oklahoma passed into the arms of her Savior, on Thursday October 05, 2017, at the age of 96 years and 6 months. She was born on April 5, 1921 in Seminole, Oklahoma to David L. and Salina (Micco) Coker. Anna Mae married her beloved husband Joe Edward Cash in Durant, Oklahoma on July 3, 1943.
Anna Mae was a lot of things to a lot of people. She staunchly believed that there were two ways to do anything-her way, and the wrong way. Perhaps that belief encouraged her children, Randy, and Carolyn (Kay), to perform certain activities, and tasks much that same way their mother did. Anna Mae was very hands-on when she served as a "room mother" for her children, she was also; a Blue Bird Leader, Cub Scout Den Mother, PTA President, and dedicated Sunday School Teacher. She was employed by several Durant area agencies over the years, the most rewarding was as a tutor, and loving "resident grandmother", at the George Washington School in Durant.
Mrs. Cash is survived by her son, Randy Cash of Tulsa, Oklahoma; daughter, Carolyn (Kay) Cash Crossland and husband Paul of Kernersville, North Carolina; former daughter in-law, Becky Cash of Tulsa, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Kevin Cash and wife Jessica of Vancouver, Washington, William Crossland and wife Mandy of Lady Lake, Florida, Deanna Crossland Dunn of Lincolnton, North Carolina, and Marsha Porter and husband Stuart of River View, Florida; great-grandchildren, Joey
Crossland, Meredyth Dunn, Bailey Crossland, Riley Crossland, Maddie Porter, Ally Crossland, and Penny Cash.
