Shirley Leora Cartwright, 64, of Mead, OK passed away on Friday, August 7, 2015 at her home. She was born on August 9, 1950 in Torrington, WY to Carl J. and Phyllis Huston Cartwright.

Shirley moved here 38 years ago from Torrington, WY. She attended high school there and later attended Southeastern Oklahoma State University and received a Bachelors in Accounting and a Masters in Business Administration. She worked as a secretary in the Telecommunication Dept. at Southeastern. She loved reading, cross stitching, her cat “Cheyanne”, and loved dearly her family and friends.

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, sister Leora “Lee” Mills.

Shirley is survived by her daughter Angela Threadgill of Mead, OK, son David Threadgill and wife Melisa of Box Elder, SD, brother Carl W. Cartwright and wife Pat of Arvada, CO, daughter Glinnis Jewell of Grandfield, OK, grandsons; William, Paul, Micheal, Jacob, Jamie and Cristopher, granddaughters; Amanda, Tabitha, and Carla, and 11 great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Brown’s Funeral Service Chapel. Family Hour will be Monday, August 10, 2015 from 6-8:00 PM. Honorary Pallbearers will be William Shaeffer, Paul Jewell, Micheal Watson, JR Archer, Henry Cecil, Jerry Knight, and Jory Smith.
