James F. Cartwright, Sr. 78, of Bowie, Maryland passed away Tuesday April 11, 2017 in Bowie at his Daughter Tracy's home. He was born December 18, 1938 in Corpus Christi, Texas to James C. and Margaret N. Brundidge Cartwright.
He served his Country in the U.S. Air Force until medically discharged and married Patricia A. Moore January 19, 1960 in Washington D. C.
He was preceded in death by his Parents and a Brother Jerrell Cartwright.
Surviving is his Wife Patricia Cartwright, Children James F. Cartwright, Jr., Jason A. Cartwright and wife Cheryl, Tracy A. Cartwright, Robert W. Cartwright and wife Robin, Christopher C. Cartwright, Jeanette L. Franco and husband Dwight and Margaret L. Cartwright. Sisters Sharron Cole, Charlotte Smith and Mattie Cartwright Moore. 22 Grandchildren, 12 Great Grandchildren and many Nieces and Nephews also survive.
A Celebration of Life Service for James F. Cartwright Sr. will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon April 22, 2017 at Cunningham Funeral Home.
