Edmond - Betty Elizabeth Carter died September 10, 2022, in Midwest City, Oklahoma at the age of 92 years 3 months 18 days. A Private family memorial will be held at a later date, entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.
Betty was born May 23, 1930, in Buffington, Pennsylvania to Peter Calvin and Elizabeth Marie (Henderson) Walls. She was raised and attended school in Pennsylvania. Betty married Joel Carter and were married for many years before he passed. She moved to Oklahoma in the 1970's, and then to Ohio, but in 1982, she moved back to Oklahoma. Betty worked as a seamstress, working many years for Sherry Classics in Purcell. She loved country music, sewing, cooking, crafts, and poetry. She loved spending time with her family and being a mom and grandma. Betty was a saintly woman, who volunteered with her church and the county to feed the needy. She loved being outdoors, gardening. No matter where she lived, she always planted roses.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Elizabeth Walls; her husband, Joel Carter; her daughter, Pam Parish; her sons, John Carter and Ralph Walls; her grandson, Gary Parish; her siblings, Mildred Arcurio, Margaret Stutzman, Shirley Fulton, David Walls, Edward Walls. Survivors include her sons, Joel Carter and David Scott Walls; her daughters, Reba Carter, Ruth Carter, and Sandra Miller; 9 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; her siblings, Sandy Demangone, Donna Lenz, Marylou Arcurio, Bill Walls, Ronnie Walls; and many other relatives and friends.
