Florence Maria "Lori" (Spurlin) Carroll

Florence Maria "Lori" (Spurlin) Carroll
April 30, 1946 ~ June 12, 2022

The Memorial services celebrating and honoring the life of Florence Maria "Lori" Carroll, 76, of Enid, will be held privately under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

Lori was born April 30, 1946, to Quinton L. and Silvana M. (Mengozzi) Spurlin in Florence, Italy, and passed from this life June 12, 2022, in Enid, Oklahoma.

She was raised in Florence, Italy, until 1950, when she came across the Ocean and processed through Ellis Island at the age of three with her mother to be joined with her father. Her father was in the Air Force, and they were stationed in the Philippines, Germany, France, and the United States. During her senior year of high school, she moved from Illinois to Enid, where her father was assigned to Vance Air Force Base, and graduated from Enid High School with the class of 1964. She then went on to attend Oklahoma State University.

She married the love of her life Charles "Buddy" Carroll March 19, 1966, in the Norman Catholic Church, and from this union came three children, Troy, Trey, and John. She was a member of the Hoe and Grow Garden club, P.E.O. Chapter DB and Junior Welfare League. She was a Chairman for the Hayes PTA and Den Mother of the Cub Scouts. She was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening, needlepoint and going to the Lake house. She absolutely loved spending time with her granddaughter Eleanor and her dog Bella.

She is survived by her husband, Buddy Carroll, of the home; her children, Trey and Maria Carroll, of Fort Collins, Colorado, and John and Kathryn Carroll, of Loveland, Colorado; her grandchildren, Eleanor and Ryan; one brother, Alan Spurlin, of Pensacola, Florida; and numerous extended family members in Florence and Milan, Italy.

She was preceded in death by one son, Troy Carroll; her parents, Quinton and Silvana Spurlin; and her in-laws, Charles and Marcia Carroll.

Memorials may be made in her honor to the Enid SPCA, with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.

Condolences and special memories may be shared with the family online at www.Brown-Cummings.com.
