George Carrell, 71 year old Ft. Supply resident, died Friday, November 20, 2015 at his home in Ft. Supply. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 25, 2015 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Donnetta Hunter officiating. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
Robert George Carrell was born on July 21, 1944 in Rosston, Oklahoma to Walter Leo and Julia Lorine (Baxter) Carrell. George grew up in the May and Ft. Supply area and graduated from Ft. Supply High School.
George was united in marriage to Patti Sperry and they made their home in Buffalo before moving to Woodward, where they raised their family. He worked for Baker Hughes Company as a cementer and treater and as a salesman for BJ�s and Dresser Titan. He later owned a service station and truck tire repair business in Woodward. George was always busy and later in life he worked for Wolfcreek Enterprises, he owned a cleaning business, and drove a truck cross country and worked other various jobs.
He was united in marriage to Sylvia Vanguilder and they made their home in Ft. Supply. George enjoyed woodworking, tinkering with electronics, and he raised and raced pigeons for fun.
He is survived by two sons, Dennis Carrell and wife Gayle of May, and Lee Vanguilder of Woodward; two daughters, Sheila Bova and husband Steve of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Laura Roach of Woodward; three brothers, Earl Carrell and wife Sendy of Amarillo, Texas, Walter Carrell and wife Donna of Oklahoma City, Johnny Carrell and wife Joy of Florida; grandchildren, Olivia Carrell, Eleni Carrell, Cassidy Bova, Keith Bova, Rhavin Roach and Reese Roach, Declan Vanguilder; other relatives and friends.
George was preceded in death by his parents, son, David Carrell, sister Mary Ishmael, and his wife Sylvia Carrell.
