Funeral service for Shirley Gean Carr, age 65, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 10, 2007, in the Bible Baptist Church. Rev. Kim Hayes will officiate.
Shirley Gean was born the daughter of John Lee Quillin and Trula Faye Leeper Quillin on June 14, 1941 in Dill City, Oklahoma. She died on February 7, 2007, in Oklahoma City.
Shirley moved to Chickasha as a young child. She met Ronnie Carr in 1966 and they were married in April of 1966, in Kingfisher, Oklahoma. Soon after their marriage, Shirley began working as a nurse while she lived in Enid. She moved to Oklahoma City in 1987 and continued working as a nurse She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Jim and Yale Quillin, one sister, Joyce Garrison, and one son, Johnny Goff, Jr.
Survivors include: Husband: Ron Carr; Daughter: Debbie Kinder; Daughter: Jan Penbrook; Son: David Goff; Daughter: Judy Crews; Daughter: Theresa Prigett; Son: Steve Carr; Son: Ron Carr, Jr.; Brother: Grady Quillin; Sister: Goldia Weltey; Brother: Kenneth Quillin; Brother: Glen Quillin; Brother: Rick Quillin. Numerous Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren.
Service will be under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home.
