Mary Lou (Ryan) Carr

February 25, 1929 ~ July 19, 2017

Services for Mary Lou Carr, 88, of Ada are 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Jerry Wells will officiate.  The family will receive friends from 3:00-5:00 p.m. Sunday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mrs. Carr passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at a local hospital. She was born February 25, 1929 at Oilton to Frank and Alta Robinson Ryan. She graduated from Oilton High School. She graduated from Hillcrest Nursing School in 1949.

She married M. E. Carr in 1955. Mrs. Carr was a Registered Nurse at Valley View Hospital, working in the Surgery Department. She later worked for Dr. Clarence Taylor for 17 years.

Survivors include her husband, M. E. Carr, of the home; a daughter, Betsy Carr and her husband Scott Griffiths of Houston, TX; her step-children, Connie Williams of Weatherford, TX, Hunter Carr of Houston, TX and Mark Carr of Ft. Worth, TX; three grandchildren, Clayton, Jackson and Jillian Griffiths; and a sister, Frankie Posey of Oilton.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Betty Lindsay.
