Jack Courtney Carmean

March 3, 1928 ~ April 19, 2002

Jack Courtney Carmean died in his home Friday, April 19, 2002, at age 74.

Born March 3, 1928, in Pawnee, Oklahoma, Mr. Carmean was the son of the late Forest and Lavella Mae Hicks Carmean. He was a 1946 Woodland High School graduate and a member of the Masonic Lodge of Davis. After retiring as an auto mechanic for 50 years, he relished his fishing and camping along the northwest coast of United States. When he wasn't enjoy the outdoor experiences, he enjoyed gardening at his home.

Mr. Carmean is survived by his wife of 50 years, Thelma Baumbach Carmean of Woodland; daughter, Susan Baraias and husband Carlos, also both of Woodland; son, Wesley Carmean and wife Karen of Reno, Nevada; grandchildren, Jennifer and Nicholas Baraias of Woodland; and Michelle and Kelly Carmean of Reno, Nevada.

The family has made private arrangements.

The family requests memorials be directed to Yolo Hospice, P.O. Box 1014, Davis, 95616 in his behalf.
