Stanley Clinton Carlton
October 8, 1934 ~ March 31, 2017

Stanley Clinton Carlton son of Leonard and Oma (Holland) Carlton was born October 8, 1934 in Newton County, Arkansas and departed this life surrounded by loved ones on March 31, 2017 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 82 years, 5 months and 23 days.

Stan worked at Stilwell Foods for many years before retirement. He also provided for his family by working alongside his wife Mary doing electrical work which he thoroughly enjoyed. He enjoyed farming, raising cattle and horses and riding the four-wheeler with his granddaughter Halee who lit up his world.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings; Richard Carlton, Elzie and Eldon Carlton.

Stan is survived by a very loving family that includes his wife of over 61 years, Mary Carlton of the home, children; Steven Carlton of Stilwell, Lorie Henson and husband Jason of Rogers, Ark., grandchildren;  Steven James Carlton and wife Jessie of Tulsa, and Halee Henson of Rogers, Ark.. Siblings; Faye Bailey and husband Vernon of Stilwell, Ginger Reed and husband Howard of Cane Hill, Ark., Jim Carlton and wife Retha of Springdale, Ark., Bobby Carlton and wife Ruby of Summers, Ark., several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive him.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Roberts/Reed-Culver Chapel, Stilwell, Oklahoma with Brother James Essary officiating.

Interment will follow at Bethesda Cemetery, Dutch Mills, Arkansas.
