Sheldon Blane Carlton was born March 21, 1967 to Lawrence Blane Carlton Jr. and Shirley Claudine (Sweet) Carlton in Stilwell, Oklahoma.
He went to be with our Lord on Wednesday July 3, 2013 at the age of 46 years, 3 months and 12 days. There he joins his father Lawrence Carlton Jr., his granparetns; Lawrence and Alice Carlton Sr. and Louie and Lodema Sweet, his youngest son Kile Bradley Carlton and many other relatives and friends.
He graduated in 1985 from Westville High School. On June 15, 1986 he married his high school sweetheart Angela Guffey and to this union 3 children were born Camille DaNae, Cody Blane and Kile Bradley.
He was a born again Christian. He worked all his life in Westville. Sheldon attended Tabernacle of Praise Church with his wife where they were the youth pastors.
He loved his family, church family and friends very much and he loved to help others. He was a wonderful husband, father, poppy, son, brother and friend.
Sheldon leaves behind his wife of over 27 years, Angela Carlton of the home, his daughter; Camille (Carlton) Blessman and husband Ryan, his son; Cody Carlton and wife Amber, his beautiful grandbaby; Elizabeth Faith Blessman whom he adored. His mother; Shirley Carlton, sister; Shelley Phillips and husband Ellis, brother; Shannon Carlton all of Westville, OK, sister; Sherry Nelson of Gentry, AR, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, many friends and his youth group that he loved very much also survive him.
Memorial services at 2 pm on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Westville High School Auditorium.
