Funeral services for Richard Carlton, age 74, were held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 19, 2006 at Hart Memorial Chapel with Bro. Bobby Cothren officiating. Internment followed at Bethesda Cemetery in Morrow, Arkansas under the direction of Hart Funeral Home.
Richard M. Carlton was born February 8, 1932 to Leonard Carlton and Oma (Holland) Carlton in Murray, Arkansas. He departed this life July 16, 2006 in Springdale, Arkansas at the age of 74.
Richard married Velma Mordecai on May 30, 1953 in Stilwell, Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, one son, Bryan Leonard Carlton and one grandson, Anthony Ray Carlton.
Richard is survived by his wife, Velma, of the home; his children, Jenna, of the home; Jack and Karen Carlton, of Stilwell, OK., Richard and LaRita Carlton, of Vian, OK., and Betty Reynolds, of Harrison, AR.; He has four grandchildren and one great grandchild. He is also survived by his four brothers, Stanley Carlton, Elzie Carlton, Jim Carlton and Bob Carlton as well as two sisters, Faye Bailey and Ginger Reed.
