Dusty Shawn Carlson
February 27, 1974 ~ August 15, 2021

 Dusty Shawn Carlson of Ponca City, passed away on August 15, 2021, at Alliance Health Ponca City at the young age of 47 years. Dusty was born in Wellington, KS, to Larry Carlson and Linda Weber. Dusty was raised in Blackwell, OK, where he attended Blackwell Public Schools. On June 11, 1999, Dusty married the love of his life, Kim Webb, a union that would last 22 wonderful years. Dusty later went on to graduate from NOC with his bachelor’s degree in 2009.

Dusty will always be remembered for being a compassionate, devoted, and protective husband and father for his family. He could always bring a smile to anyone face with his witty jokes, and love of bringing joy into everyone’s life that he touched. Dusty enjoyed the open road with a ride on his motorcycle and never missed an opportunity to live life to the fullest.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife: Kim Carlson his heart and soul; Son: Ashton Carlson, his prodigy; Daughter: Olivia Carlson, his princess, of Ponca City. Parents: Linda Webber of Oxford, KS, and Larry Carlson of Welcome, MN; Brother: Carl Carlson of Blackwell, OK; as well as two nieces and a nephew, many other family members and friends.

A memorial service to honor and celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at 2 p.m, at the First Baptist Church of Newkirk. The family will meet at the funeral home at 1:15 pm and be driven by limousine to the church. The public is invited to join in the procession. The family also ask that if you ride a motorcycle to please come out and join the procession to honor Dusty’s life.

Services will be held at 2:00 pm at First Baptist in Newkirk, OK. The guest book will be available to sign at the funeral home from Thursday morning, until the morning of the service. Services are under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel in Ponca City.
