The services celebrating and honoring the life of Donna R. Cardot, 74, of Enid will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday May 03, 2019 in the Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel. Services and complete cremation care are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

She was born September 30, 1944 to Ruey Blackburn and Aileen Miller Blackburn Phillips and passed from this life on April 29, 2019.

She moved around to many different places with her military family. She graduated from the University of Wyoming with her Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. She married her first husband in Laramie WY. She served as a Scout Master and worked for the University of Southern California. On October 19, 1986 she married Tom Cardot, a pilot, in San Antonio, TX. She was a published poet, and traveled on the road with her husband in their RV for over eleven years.

She is survived by her husband, Tom Cardot, of Enid, OK., son, Alan Blakely PHD, MS of Dallas, TX., a sister Alexandra Sword of New Richmond, WI and a stepson Brian Cardot of Auburn, WA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her aunt Gloreen Horn, and her uncles Lester, Lee (Shorty), Harold, and Gerald Miller.

Memorials in her name may be made to ASPCA with Brown-Cummings Funeral serving as custodian of the funds.
